A Celebration of Christmas Traditions Past and Present
Queen Street in downtown Niagara Falls is full of great shops, outdoor patios, eateries, parks and green spaces, perfect for an afternoon or evening stroll.
During the CAA Winter Festival of Lights, Queen St undergoes a transformation from this urban playground to Santa’s Village a brightly decorated family friendly attraction that extends the festival’s beautiful illuminations from the Niagara Parkway into the downtown area. Storefronts glow with light displays and come alive with beautiful holiday displays.
You can walk through Santa’s Village on Queen Street anytime in the month of December but mark you calendar for the Santa’s Village Candlelight Stroll on Saturday, December 11th between 6:30pm-8:30pm. You’ll experience a celebration of Christmas traditions past and present.
Centered around Centennial Square at Niagara Falls City Hall, the Candlelight Stroll will include horse-drawn wagon rides, Victorian carolers, hot chocolate and roasted chestnuts, guest appearances by Santa and his reindeer, elves and the Festival’s own goodwill ambassadors, The Misty Kids.
Candles will be on sale with all proceeds supporting Project S.H.A.R.E.’s Christmas Basket Program and visitors are invited to carry them on a candlelight stroll through Santa’s Village, where local merchants will be offering samples of their wares and performing demonstrations of their crafts.
Santa's Village Candlelight Stroll is a free event, but everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items in support of Project S.H.A.R.E.
This event takes place rain, snow, sleet or shine.
