Jobs and Employment in Niagara Falls

A large percentage of jobs in Niagara Falls focus around tourism in the spring and summer months. Locals will notice an increase in the available temporary and part-time jobs.



Many businesses will require employees for customer service, servers, hotel staff and attraction operators. Be sure to watch the newspapers (Niagara Falls Review, St.Catharines Standard etc) for times and locations for local job fairs. Often these will be publicized on Cogeco Cable 10 or on your local cable channel.

How much can you make?
As of March, 31st. 2010 the minimum wage in Niagara Falls (General Hourly Rate) will be $10.25 an hour. If you are under 18 years of age and work less than 28 hours a week, $9.60 will be the hourly wage.

A large portion of jobs in the tourist area (near Niagara Falls and the Niagara Parkway) are in the hospitality and service industry, in this industry you can expect a minimum wage of $8.90. Most of the time tips will meet or exceed your hourly wage.
