Danny Black live

Info: (Event Organizer's Comments) My husband and I met Danny Black on a Mediterranean cruise, he was the nightly entertainment at the Red Frog Pub, on The Carnival Magic ship. Danny Black is a one man band with a system called looping, where he individually records percussion, rhythm and even back up vocals, as an introduction to the song and then plays it all together for a full band effect for each song he does, nothing is pre recorded.
Danny Black is a very talented guy. He knows over 1,200 songs. He can play almost any hit song you can name.
There’s a lot of audience participation. He’ll stop in the middle of a song and the whole room continues singing it. People shout out songs all night and Danny delivers them, and there’s a lot of laughing and dancing and singing.
Danny made every night on the ship a total blast for us and all the other passengers that packed the bar he played at every night, even though there were many other bars with very good entertainment to choose from on the ship.
Danny Black is a very talented guy who is genuinely nice and polite, tactful and modest, a little shy, he’s cute and lots of fun. Can you tell that I like him? He plays all over the world now in small venues, from the contacts he made on the cruise ships, and Carnival Cruise Lines welcomes him back anytime he wants to perform on their ships.
Danny did a show at the Imperial Pub in downtown Toronto last September and my husband and I went to see him again. He was really good, we had a blast again even though we were not on a cruise. The room was hopping all night, he played till 2 or 3 in the morning, I can’t remember. tee hee. He’s tireless. He loves what he does and it’s quite apparent. By the end of the night everyone knew each other and were saying goodbye to each other and exchanging emails and stuff, even the people from Germany that were there and couldn’t speak English wanted to know where and when they could see him again.
If you would like to see a video of one of Danny’s songs you can go to his press website, www.DannyBlackPressKit.com. or check out the video below of him playing the song Clocks by Cold Play, it is one of the songs he does that I think best shows how he does it all. But you really need to see him live to really appreciate what he does.
