Falls Firkin Pub entrance

After attending the Home and Garden Show at the new Scotiabank Convention Centre we decided to grab a bite to eat at the Firkin Pub located in the Niagara Falls Casino Resort.

The Firkin Pub is located on the lower level of the Casino close to the Avalon Theatre entrance. We walked past the Hydro Teslatron and through the Galleria Shopping area to get to the far end of the building.

Inside the Falls Firkin Pub in the Fallsview Casino

I had heard commercials for the Firkin Pub on the radio before but this was the first time we have dined there. Outside the entrance there is a menu posted. It always nice to check out the food and prices before entering. I took a picture of the most recent menu. As you can see there are many choices! We were greeted at the door and lead to area of the restaurant where the tables were half was a booth and the other half of the table Another picture of the inside of the Falls Firkin Pubhad a pull out chair.

The table was nice however it was a hot day and the sun was cooking us alive! There were no shades in that seating area, so we asked to be reseated. The staff was very accommodating and filled our request.

We moved to a cozy both near the front of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is not very large and consists of some high top tables, Falls Firkin Pub bar area a bar area, booth/chair seating and an outdoor patio.

The outdoor patio overlooks the Falls. If the weather was warmer we would have loved the seating with a view! There are dividers which separate the tables and make the atmosphere a little more intimate. The dining area is long and narrow which is unique with a lot of natural light.

Falls Firkin Burger and Fries

Our server took our orders and we were left with the menu to decide on an entrée. I decided on the BBQ Chicken Wrap with substituted the French fries with Irish Nachos. These were basically seasoned lattice cut potatoes with mixed cheese, bacon, sour cream and topped with chopped green onion.
Tim ordered the Firkin Burger which came with fries, one of the most popular items on the menu. My chicken wrap was a good portion Falls Firkin Pub BBQ Chicken Wrap with Irish Nachos and included BBQ chicken chunks, lettuce, tomato, sautéed onions, cheese with a light garlic mayo. The BBQ sauce made it taste great! Tim said his burger also had a BBQ flavor. He guessed the burger was marinated prior to cooking. The burger toppings were the standard onion, tomato and dill pickle. The burger was quite thick and left him full.

We enjoyed our meals with non-stop Coke and Iced Tea while popular light rock music played quietly in the background. Our server checked back with us and also offered dessert, tea and/or coffee. We decided to just request the check. The total bill with tax came to just over $37 CDN which we felt was quite reasonable given the quality of food and the location. After paying the bill, we made our way outside to take some pictures of the Falls. It was a great day for photos! Here is a picture we took of the Falls with a rainbow above.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for small groups or a date night. It may be difficult for the restaurant to accommodate groups of more than six. Overall it was a great experience at the Firkin Pub.
