The Rink on the Brink skating pad, built as a Winter Festival of Lights attraction opened its doors at the end of 2009 and has thrilled visitors each winter since.
Located just across the Table Rock center, the 36 meter by 18 meter pad is almost the same size as a NHL rink but with one big bonus of magnificent views of the Canadian and American Falls night and day!
The temporary structure has been built on the opposite side of the Parkway from Table Rock Welcome Centre and is next to the public parking area for easy access.
The rink is designed to feel outdoorsy like that of the famous outdoor rinks in New York or Toronto. Originally constructed with a curved roof over it to help prevent the mist of the Falls from entering and coating the structures, it has recently been left uncovered.
