Maid of the Mist Attraction

This unique well-known watercraft attraction will definitely thrill the whole family! From the moment you board one of the largest boats capable of carrying just about 600 people to the point exactly where you get so towards the Falls that you will be fully surrounded in its mist, the entire ride is certain to get your heart racing!

As one of the most in-demand attractions for vacationers today, the Maid of the Mist in Niagara Falls has been in operation in one way or one another as far back as 1834. Back then it was mostly utilized as a ferryboat to transport people across the river until the very first international border bridge was constructed.

There is lots of history connected to the Maid of the Mist, from a huge fire in 1955 that destroyed the docks a number of rescues that saved the lives of men and women trapped in the turbulent waters at the Falls.

The crafts themselves take passengers from the boarding docks at the rivers edge not far from Clifton Hill and takes them so close to the Horseshoe Falls that they are encapsulated in the mist and can hear not a thing except the thundering roar of the water as it falls and slams into the mighty Niagara River!

The Maid of the Mist operates from both the American and Canadian sides of the river and are open seasonally starting up sometime in April and ending in October. Dates are determined by weather and ice conditions of the River.

Children (6-12 years) - $ 9.57 Canadian

Hours of Operation:
Hours vary depending on the season but generally the tours operate between 9 am to 7:15 pm during the summer and finish at 5:45 pm in Spring and Fall.
