After attending Ribfest, we decided to stop by Margaritaville for few drinks an an early dinner. We were greeted hostess standing outside the front entrance. She brought us to the main desk where there were multiple servers. In my opinion, too many! There was a little bit of confusion as to who was seating us but it was sorted out fairly quickly. We requested a table on the patio. Little did we know, there were five of them! We requested one looking out from the front of the building. I included a picture of the view looking out onto Fallsview Ave. We were lead through the tropical themed restaurant and up to the second level where we were greeted by our server and offered drinks. The menu was smaller than expected, but included a variety of options. I ordered the vegetarian nachos and time ordered tacos. My meal was quite large as you can see! Probably one of the better plates of nachos I’ve had. I still feel my homemade ones are the best! ;) The "Hell's Shells" tacos looked small for a meal, but Tim said they were a good size. If you like something a little spicy, this dish is a good choice. After our meal, we were sitting and relaxing when we heard noise coming from inside the bar area. As we walked in, we could see a girl dancing on stilts and the big Margaritta pitcher was filling up to the tune of “Margaritaville”. A guy came out in a similar outfit. Our server told us that this is done every 70 minutes! We finished up our drinks and made our way downstairs. The bill was reasonable - about $35. We saw that the two people on stilts were now out entertaining the visitors with balloon animals. Near the door there was the “Surf Shop” a gift shop featuring items many clothing items and Jimmy Buffet branded products. I think that the Margaritaville restaurant would appeal to families with children during the day and adults in the evening hours for a few drinks before hitting Clifton Hill or a show at the Avalon Theatre.
