The Niagara Convention Center, Officially named the Niagara Convention & Civic Center, this state of the art conference building is due to open to the public in April of 2011 and promises to be a hub of activity.
Brand new from the ground up, the Niagara Convention & Civic Center (NCCC) is located just 500 yards from the Horseshoe Falls and is in an area of restaurants, attractions and more than 5000 upscale hotel rooms within a 1 mile radios.
Being built so close to so many Niagara Falls hot spots makes the convention center a perfect place for many companies to hold annual conventions, business meetings and other related events in. On top of companies, there are many other groups and organizations that will be able to take advantage of the spacious and modern floor plans.
With the addition of the Niagara Convention and Civic Center, Niagara Falls is sure to be host to more large scale events like automotive shows, large nationally recognized conventions and even live concerts from popular performers.
The “Niagara Falls Convention Center” as some are calling it has been designed to be (LEED) Silver, meaning that it meets several energy and environmental standards making the 288,000 square foot complex one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in Niagara.
How big will the NCCC be? Some of the major design features of the centre include an 80,000 square foot, free span Exhibition Hall, a 17,000 square foot Ballroom, 26,000 square foot Meeting space and an 1,000 seat theatre that can accommodate live performances.
