Niagara Helicopters

With a history dating back as far as 1961, Niagara Helicopters has been providing sight seeing tours and pilot training services in one form or another and under several different names.

It wasn’t until around 1981 that a young Swiss pilot named Ruedi Hafen, began flying for the company. Ruedi had big ideas of what the company could become and eventually by 1985 became the major share holder of his new helicopter tour company, Niagara Helicopters.

Since then, the air tour company has grown into a fleet of five helicopters located on a nicely landscaped 6 ½ acre property near the river.


Popular Tours

Today’s tours offer spectacular views of all the major landmarks of the Falls such as the Skylon Tower , the Minolta Tower, the Whirlpool Aero Car and of course the best view possible of the Falls themselves.

This popular tour has a duration of about 12 minutes and includes recorded tour messages that give visitors details about the city and what they are viewing. These messages are available in several languages.


Winery Lunch

The tour company also offers unique options for your trip. There are magnificent fly in luncheons at some of the areas wineries. Niagara Helicopters will actually fly you and your party for a tour over the many vineyards throughout the area and drop you off for at a first class winery for a one of a kind meal with all the fine food and of course a great selection of wine.


Weddings

Then there is the Wedding specials that they offer. Custom made to fit your desires, they Niagara Helicopters can fly the bride and groom to and from receptions, pick up and drop off wedding parties and even take guests on tours of the area.

They even offer the opportunity to get married while flying over the falls with the use of your own minister or one that is supplied by the company themselves.
