Red Lobster is part of a nationwide seafood restaurant chain. You may recognize the familiar exterior and warm décor. Below is a bit about or experience dining at the Red Lobster in Niagara Falls.
We arrived at Red Lobster on Lundy's Lane in Niagara Falls later in the evening – just after 9pm. It was a Saturday night so we expected it to be quite busy. To our surprise, it wasn’t. I guess the dinner crowd had cleared out.
We were greeted at the door by a female hostess. She gave us the option of a table or booth. We choose the booth. It was a nice intimate table off to the side of the restaurant. There was plenty of space but if it was a busier night it might have been pretty crowded.
We were unaware at the time of selecting Red Lobster as our restaurant choice that it was “Lobsterfest” which is great if you like lobster! Tim doesn’t like lobster and myself, well I wasn’t really in the mood for it that night.
We were greeted by a male server. He took our drink orders and mentioned the Lobsterfest menu. There were quite a few options including many non-seafood choices. I liked that there were a few “create your own meal” options. I decided on the “Pick 2 Items” from the shrimp section. I choose the garlic shrimp and the Walt’s Favourite which was the butterfly breaded shrimp. Tim ordered the Cajun Chicken Alfredo. Both of our meals came with a side salad and mine came with my choice of a side. As you can see the salads alone were of a generous portion! We were also brought out a basket of four garlic-butter biscuits, a perfect side to our salads. Our meals were brought out by another waitress. I liked the team atmosphere they have at Red Lobster. They made me feel comfortable asking any of the server staff for assistance.
Both plates were hot to the touch so we knew the food would be hot was well. There is nothing worse than getting a cold meal or one that you know has been sitting under heat lamps! I included a couple pictures of our dishes. Wow – we were so impressed! The portions were huge and the food was absolutely delicious! Red Lobster definitely has won my vote for one of the best seafood restaurants in Niagara Falls!
Tim said that the Cajun Chicken Alfredo was super creamy with just the right amount of heat – not very spicy. My dish exceeded my expectations – delicious buttery, garlic shrimp, lightly breaded butterfly shrimp and crispy fries.
We were so full, dessert was not an option! Haha! Our waiter brought our bill. It was just under $50 with tax which I thought was very reasonable.
While we were finishing up our drinks a woman approached us. She was dressed differently than the wait staff so at first I wasn’t sure if she worked at the restaurant. She smiled, handed us a small card which apon opening it I realized it was a thank-you card with a promotional coupon inside. She said that in a few weeks they will be having their shrimp promotion and they would like to invite us back again. We have never had this happen in a restaurant but what a nice touch!
Overall we had a great experience at Red Lobster and would definitely recommend it to couples or families with children because of the many food options.
