S.C.E.N.E Music Festival Niagara's Largest Day of Music!
Just down the road from Niagara Falls is the City of St. Catharines. In that little city, for one day each year, a huge music festival takes over the downtown core and rocks the region with 14 hours of music.
When we say 14 hours of music we’re not talking about some buskers on the side of the street strumming a guitar all day, we’re talking more than 160 bands playing on 17 stages in area restaurants, bars and outdoor sets, All within close proximity of each other. We’re talking about The largest one day music festival in Niagara!
What is S.C.E.N.E?
The SCENE music festival started out 13 seasons ago as a way to give local bands a forum in which to promote themselves and get there music out there for locals to hear.
Today drawing in more than 6000 people, dozens of media personalities and industry representatives from throughout North America, SCENE has become the event to be in for both local bands and bands from all over the globe.
Previous participants, some that you may have heard of like Alexisonfire, Never Ending White Lights, Bedouin Soundclash and City & Color to name a few, have gone on to have great success after participating in SCENE.
The festival showcases music from just about every genre including rock, blues, jazz, funk, reggae and metal among others.
The great thing about the one day music fest is that one wrist band gets you into all the venues, and since all the venues are located close to each other, spectators can easily hop from one show to another and experience all that they can of the 14 hour music jam.
Every year they seem to pull out bigger and bigger names while still holding strong to the core value of giving the small, hard working independent bands a spot to shine. This year promises to be no different.
