A favorite winter pass time for many people young and the young at heart who live in colder climates like Niagara Falls is ice skating.
It is this winter pass time that brings back fond memories of homemade backyard skating rinks and small ice covered ponds.
It is these places where friends from all around would gather to play a friendly game of hockey or just spend the time skating around in circles. Funny how the cold never seemed to be so… cold during those hours of skating.
As great as going to these homemade or impromptu skating rinks can be they do tend to be a bit bumpy and maybe even slightly unsafe or at least not the best for skating all the time.
For the perfect skating experience in Niagara Falls we turn to public skating rinks, of which there are many to choose from including the new
Rink at the Brink
, the Falls newest winter attraction.
Skating Rinks in Niagara Falls:
Rink at the Brink: This is a seasonal skating rink built by the Winter Festival of Lights company and is the closest to the Falls tourist area. The large window areas are open most nights to allow the fresh air in and give an unobstructed view of the Falls. A great view at night when the Falls are lit up.
