Now you can experience the feeling of skydiving without ever having to jump from a plane!
There’s a lot of thrilling things to do in Niagara Falls. A couple of which include a bird's eye view of the City with
Niagara Helicopters
or boating down the Niagara rapids with
Whirlpool Jet Boat Tours. But if you are looking for something else that’s thrilling and unique, you may want to consider the Niagara Falls Indoor Freefall and Interative Centre.
Experience Floating in Mid Air! As a first for Canada, the Niagara Free Fall Center is a large scale indoor skydiving simulation ride, allowing visitors the feel and thrill of what its like to actually skydive while still being safe on earth.
How it works is that the Niagara Free Fall Center has created a large 12 foot wide 20 foot tall vertical wind tunnel that creates atmosphere controlled wind speeds of up to 140 mile per hour. These are the kinds of wind speeds created when taking the plunge from a real plane.
The visitor is able to ride these wind currents as though they are actually skydiving and seemingly float in mid air while the wind rushes by.
Who Can Ride? Safe and fun, the state of the art wind tunnel is a great ride for anyone over the age of 7 and under 260 lbs.
Unlike real skydiving, there is no danger to anyone taking the indoor experience because there is no plane, no parachute and no falling from thousands of feet. Instead, guests are hovering just several feet above a padded platform inside of a padded tunnel room with a professionally trained instructor beside them the entire time.
This is the perfect experience for anyone who has always wanted to know what it would be like to skydive from a plane but have not had the chance or have been to nervous to do so. You can get the feeling of almost being weightless or floating in the air without the sensation of actually falling.
If indoor skydiving sounds like something for you or your family to try out while visiting Niagara Falls, the experience will take about an hour. There is a 20 min training lesson on how to take full advantage of the air and make the most of your time in the tunnel. A fifteen min suiting up time to get you wearing all the proper equipment. Then there is the time in the tunnel. A group of five will have fifteen minutes or 3 minutes each inside of the air stream.
Price: There are several pricing structures available but the base price is $70.00 per person. Call ahead to make sure that there are spots available during the day as they tend to fill up quickly.
