TGI Fridays Niagara Falls Restaurant Review
5940 Victoria Avenue

Last year when we visited TGI Fridays in Niagara Falls it was under construction so we dined elsewhere. After driving by the restaurant last weekend, we saw that the restaurant (with the exception of the outdoor patio) was now open. When we approached the entrance I was expecting a few minor upgrades. As we entered the dining area it was apparent that the popular restaurant had a complete overhaul!

We were greeted promptly and seated at one of the tall booths in across from the bar. There are actually two TGI Fridays in Niagara Falls, one at 6700 Fallsview Blvd close the Falls and easily accessible from the ground floor of the Embassy Suites Hotel. We dined at the Fridays located on Victoria Avenue closer to Clifton Hill. These are both close to all the attractions however parking easier to find on Victoria Avenue. We were offered drinks by a friendly, female server which I noticed by her name tag that we was actually the manager on duty. She answered the questions we had and took our entrée order. I ordered the Friday Burger. I had this a few years back at one of the TGI locations in the Pittsburg Airport and very impressed. Tim ordered the chicken fingers and French fries.

Our orders came quickly within about 15 minutes and were hot with the exception of the fries that I had. Though they were not hot, I liked the seasoning. My burger came with all the toppings – tomato, lettuce, mayo and a crispy dill pickle. On the side was a Jack Daniels sauce which I used to dip my fries into. There was also a light brushing of the sauce on the burger.

Tims chicken fingers were of a good portion. He said that they were very tender however slightly overcooked. Our server came back to check on us several times and offered us dessert. We declined as we were both very full! The bill came to just under $40 CDN with tax and tip. This did not include any alcohol or appetizers however we still felt it was a good value for being right in a high tourist area.

Since it was only April, the restaurant wasn’t at full capacity. We were told that there is seating for 300 guests and an additional 150 on the outdoor patio that is currently still under construction. We intend on coming back to the restaurant with some friends in the summer once it is finished.
