There is great news for residents of Toronto! Go Train has decided to offer seasonal excursion service to Niagara Falls. So leave your vehicle at home, save high gas prices and relax while GO service takes you to the Niagara Falls Station just minutes away from all the action and attractions in the city. An return adult ride from Union Station to Niagara Falls is $38.10. Seniors and children are $19.20.
The trains will be stopping at Union, Exhibition, Port Credit, Oakville, Burlington and St.Catharines stations before hitting Niagara Falls.
For 2011, this service will run on the following weekends:
June 24 – September 5, 2011 Thanksgiving weekend (October 7–10, 2011)
Ride your bike along the Niagara Parkway! Go Train has made room for you to bring your bike!
Each Saturday, Sunday and holiday train on this excursion service will include two bike coaches.
The bike coaches are specially designed rail cars for passengers' bicycles. These rail cars are located sixth and seventh from the locomotive and Bike coach hold 18 bikes on the lower level. Riders are encouraged to bring a lock to secure their bikes while they enjoy the comfortable ride on the upper levels.
Please note that the special bike coaches will only be available on the Niagara train service on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, but not on the Friday evening service.
