While visiting Casino Niagara the time may come when your hunger begins to out weigh your desire to play the many games.
This is when you are faced with the choices of where you should eat. There are many options within a short walk of the casino but why leave the building when there’s a great selection of eateries just steps away from the gaming floors themselves.
On a recent visit to Casino Niagara we began to crave a good hearty meal and decided to try the much talked about food at Luckys Steakhouse Restaurant.
Almost hidden away in a corner, the restaurant is located on the lowest level of gaming at Casino Niagara
along with YUK YUKs comedy club and Quench, a cool bar and eatery. With a large menu displayed outside the restaurant’s walls, we stop at the large wooden doors of Luck'ys and give the menu a quick look over. There were plenty of options. The menu is filled with various salads, steaks, chicken, seafood and even pizza. There’s bound to be something in here for the liking of both of us so we decide to go in and try it out.

Upon entry, we walk onto a small reservation and waiting area. It’s simple with brick walls and dark curtains hanging along the sides to give a more intimate atmosphere. A friendly woman is there to greet us and after ensuring that a table is available, she quickly escorts us through the dining area to a booth located along one side of the restaurant.
Sitting down we take a look around to get a sense of the place. The walls are brick like in the reception area and the ends of all the booths have the same dark curtains nicely folded to either side.
The entire restaurant has some areas that are stepped up to get a better view of the Niagara River and the city of Niagara Falls New York through the large windows on one side of the dining area.

Lucky's restaurant is filled with mostly tables for dining but they are spaced far enough apart that I don’t think anyone would feel to cramped when the place is busy.
There are about ten booths and all are located on one side of the restaurant. The walls including each booth have photos of various Jazz musicians and there is Jazz quietly playing as background music for the restaurant.
Our server soon arrives, she is polite and tells us her name and the various specials that are on that evening. She takes our drink orders and leaves us a couple of menus to go over for a bit. Reading the menu it is easy to find many items that I want but more difficult to decide on a final dish.
Finally deciding on our meals we order and wait.

The restaurant wasn’t very busy when we were there so our food arrived quickly and as expected from any fine dining establishment, looked as good as it tasted.
The meals were very filling with larger than expected portions and in fact we had no room for desert although the desert menu had some very tasty looking treats on it… maybe next time.
For a restaurant with the style and food like Lucky's we were expecting the prices to be a bit high but when comparing it to other restaurants that serve similar style dishes we found them to be quite reasonable and really, for the service, atmosphere and amount of food we had, well worth it.

After finishing our post dinner coffee and tea, we were off again to the casino floor to try our luck. It was good to get away from the lights and sounds of all the gaming for a while but even better was the fact that although Lucky's restaurant seemed to be a different world from the fast pace of Casino Niagara, it was really only steps away.
