Plan Ahead to Get the Best Parking Spots Available!
Last summer we were on a business trip to Ottawa, Ontario and were having difficulty finding all day parking throughout the city. We stayed at the Marriott however parking was $25 a day. I was hoping to find somewhere else that was a little more economical. After searching and searching I found very little options. I asked the question on Yahoo Answers and was given some great information.
Going through this experience, we decided to write this page to help locals and vacationers that are driving in the Niagara Falls area. If you are driving in town with a rental or your own vehicle, parking is definitely something you will want to consider when planning your trip. Parking prices can vary and sometimes be non-existent in some areas of the city. Be sure to ask questions before booking a hotel to ensure that parking prices are not inflated when you are offered a low overnight rate.
Hourly Parking:
If you are in town for the day or evening there are many city meters that you can park for up to 4 hours. The rate is $1.50/hour. These are located throughout the city in the downtown area, Clifton Hill, Imax Theatres and near the Table Rock across from the Falls.

Daily Parking:
If you plan on spending the entire day in the Falls, you may want to consider parking lot that offers daily rates. These can vary depending on the location. There are lots close to both casinos that range in price from $5-$15/day. This is a good option since most of the main attractions including Niagara Falls are within walking distance. For a small fee you also can ride the “people mover” or the “incline railway” if you have small children or have mobility issues.
Below we have made a list of some chain hotels that offer parking. Please note these rates are as of January 2011.
