Niagara Wines, Wineries, Ice-wine and Festivals

The Niagara Region is well known throughout the world for its many award winning wines. There are a large number of grape growers and wineries



within this relatively small region that are open to the public and are all within a short distance of the hotels and attractions of Niagara Falls.

For anyone who appreciates good wine, the wineries of Niagara offer many great varieties to sample from. And no matter what your taste in wine, there is certainly something produced in Niagara to every ones liking, whether it be table, desert, sparkling or ice wine.

Although all the fine hotels and restaurants offer many of the wines produced in Niagara along with those from around the world, any visitors to Niagara Falls are lucky enough to be only a short drive away from the wineries and grape growers that produce these fine wines.

Many of Niagara’s wineries offer tours and tastings along with lunch and dinner menus to allow visitors a chance to sample various wines with the appropriate food parings to demonstrate just how extraordinary Niagara wines actually are.

Niagara Falls itself is a hot spot for wineries from around the world to show off their products throughout the year at large galas held at various hotels.
The City is also well known as the must see location for some of the regions many Festivals.

Most notably is the Niagara Icewine Festival, a 10 day celebration, of Canada’s importance as the worlds largest producer of icewine. With various venues across the Niagara Region, this event usually kicks off in Niagara Falls every January.
